I was trying very hard to get a book published about what I was most interested in….traveling. I contacted every book publisher in the holy grail publishers guide book at http://www.writersmarket.com/ but nothing happened. Many of the requests I sent were probably never read and a handful of my requests came back to me with a canned reply “Sorry but your niche does not fit our market”.
Discouraged, yes….definitely. Then a good friend of mine told me to make an ebook, which can be downloaded on the net instantly. An ebook does not really cost you anything to produce (except your time) and you can sell them online from multiple sources like Amazon.com or even Ebay.com to a worldwide market.
I tried it, wow…it was pretty darn easy to set up and I started getting sales within the first week of advertising on Ebay.
